Our Passion

Welcome to my midwifery practice! With 28 years of experience, I have had the honor of assisting in the birth of hundreds of babies and I'm deeply passionate about serving my community. I believe in nurturing the next generation of midwives and am proud to mentor aspiring professionals. If you're looking for guidance or an apprenticeship opportunity in midwery, I’m here to support you on your journey.

The Problem

This is a sad state of midwifery in the US when we can not or will not produce new midwives. Sometimes this is because of greed we allow ourselves to be too busy trying to make more money that we have no time for students. We find all kinds of excuses. "I don't have time." "I don't have patience for students." Sometimes we choose not to take on new students because of jealousy. We are afraid these new students will move in to "our" territory. There is even prejudice and fear. "That student can never be as good a midwife as I am." They have a different culture, or education. "They might talk behind my back." "I can't trust them." "They might get me in trouble with the law." "What if the student I train makes a mistake and then it's my fault, this elusive, future hypothetical accident?

How can students get training without leaving  their homes or enrolling in expensive schools?

How do we keep midwifery alive?

Our Solution

Go to a quiet room, with your computer and books, you might put on your ear plugs. Maybe you have music turned down low to help you concentrate

Imagine turning on your computer and sitting down with a cup of tea and a couple cookies. You log in to Zoom or Google Classroom.

The class room is full of other women at different stages of training, from different schools, but with the same goals at the end of their journeys, to be great midwives.

You listen as familiar voices, teachers and guest speakers are anxiously waiting to come together for a common goal, your advancement to great midwifery.

For two hours you will be able to watch as different students try out the latest skills taught during the class. Then everyone will discuss questions related to your studies or a recent birth they attended. Next an assignment or items needed for the next class with be discussed.

You will leave the class knowing that someone is going to hold your hand, help you along the way and take you seriously.  You will succeed. You will become a great midwife! But, you must take the step forward. Connect with us NOW! Become a Member NOW!

The Virtual Preceptor

Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Never give in.
